Giant Art Projects

I would generally be in favor of huge art projects, especially ones that don’t damage the landscape they will inhabit. There’s something wonderful about grand schemes that impress the human spirit. And something neat about ones that are temporary rather than permanent (though there’s something to be said for permanent ones, as well).

But Alex is right. This one is butt-ugly and no one really wants it or cares. From what little I know of the circumstances surrounding it, it’s just really stupid.

Still, what do I know? I don’t even have an appropriate “Art” section on my blog in which to file this.
