Oxford, Yada Yada

We’re safely here, if you care. Won’t be taking a red-eye flight again. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but it didn’t work. It might have if we could have slept more on the plane, but I made the poor decision to watch “Kung Fu Hustle” on the in-flight on-demand entertainment thingy, and Alex couldn’t sleep so she watched a ton of Simpsons episodes they had. So we were drearily exhausted on Sunday and had great difficulty coping with even the mildest of issues. Alex couldn’t even remember where things were, and this is her third time here! My sense of direction was thankfully unimpeded, however.

This second day is much better, but nothing eventful has happened. I had expected the class I’m taking, “The Irish Question,” to be very boring, it being my fourth choice class. Luckily, however, the professor is good (he brings wine to each class — at 9:15am!), and Ireland is the one area of British history with which I am least familiar, so I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Also, it looks like we’ll be able to go see Stonehenge next week, on our own. Looking forward to that.
