Why not a bakery/coffeeshop/pub? Basically a pub that does pastries & coffee? Get your morning fix, come back to hang out in the evening? Alex can bake fresh stuff at night and us morning people will take care of the rest, haha.
Wouldn’t work in Manhattan but maybe Brooklyn? Definitely would work somewhere else.
Call it “The Baker’s Armpit” … umm, don’t ask me where that came from.
Things to think about: Health insurance. Taxes. Sanitation. Interior design. I know someone with a great taste for the latter. Hmm…

Check out Cakeshop which is located in the LES. It is a Bakery/CoffeeShop with a book and music store in the back and a full bar with stage downstairs. It’s my favourite coffee shop in the city. and therefore it can be done !
actually , we should go there on our LES outing.
