A nay-sayer might complain that they are cherry-picking the events they think are significant, but basically, this video is pretty well-done: all the history of life on earth compressed into 60 seconds.
I like illustrations of abstract notions, and this is a nice one. Reminds me of the old Powers of 10 video. I also like the way the typography fades but stays, implying the way old developments persist, as they say about the salt water in our veings. It also reminds me of Edward Tufte’s The Visual Display of Quantitative Information. Which of course I’ve never read, but had many a science/social science professor make note of.
